What are the requirements to keep DWC going?

E-mail Print PDF

Many people know from their own experience that it's not easy to organize and get something new started, unless you really want to add improvement to your community. Yes, these efforts might bring awards and notoriety but you must carry on the efforts through succeeding volunteers.

Since it was founded in 1912, the Dahlonega Women's Club has been a unifying force, bringing together local women from across the county and throughout north Georgia. Although there is considerable diversity in the ages, interests, and experiences of DWC club women, all are united by a dedication to community improvement through volunteer service.

Accomplishments during DWC's many years include: beginning the first Public Library in Dahlonega, supporting Lumpkin County Schools in service, materials, scholarships and hosted events, and Presents annual awards and scholarships to local high school seniors planning to attend NGCSU.
